My Ma used to teach maypole dancing to the children in her schools, the used to dance at fetes and stuff. Amusingly a parent once accused her of being a pagan witch because of it!! V funny if you no Ma, who is an upstanding member of the methodist community!!!! In scotland it's only celebrated because it's a bank holiday!x
I have no idea, but it's a big holiday in Europe, or I should say Germany not sure of the rest of the EU. Bring on the May Day!
